History

The 1. Räumbootsflottille was formed in 1937 and was initially under the command of Karl Bergelt, this flotilla was made up of the following 1934 Type, 1936-42 Type and 1937-43 Type R-boats and was deployed for minesweeping and security duties.

After the war had ended the 1. Räumbootsflottille was deployed for minesweeping by the The German Mine Sweeping Administration (GMSA) in the Baltic sea.

September 1939
The 1. Räumbootsflottille was deployed for minesweeping and security duties around the Danzig Bay.

1939
The 1. Räumbootsflottille was deployed for minesweeping and security duties in the North sea and the Baltic sea.

1940
The 1. Räumbootsflottille was deployed for minesweeping and security duties around the coastal waters of Norway.

June 1941
The 1. Räumbootsflottille was deployed for minesweeping and security duties in the Baltic sea to aid the Russian campaign.

1942
The 1. Räumbootsflottille was deployed for minesweeping and security duties in the Gulf of Finland.

1945
The 1. Räumbootsflottille was deployed for minesweeping by the The German Mine Sweeping Administration (GMSA) in the Baltic sea.
