History

The R127 R-boat (Räumboot) was built in the 1940s by Germany as a minesweeper or escort vessel for the Kriegsmarine.

And which served in the 1. Räumbootsflottille during World War II.

And after the surrender of Germany was employed in the German Mine Sweeping Administration (GMSA) and United States Labour Service Unit B (LSU-B) which were controlled by the allies.

1943
The R-boat R127 is commissioned.

1943
The R-boat R127 becomes operational with the 1. Räumbootsflottille.

1945
The R-boat R127 serves with the German Mine Sweeping Administration (GMSA).

1 December 1947
The R-boat R127 is seized as a prize of war by the USA.

29 July 1949
The R-boat R127 is transferred to H Fleck of Duisburg, as a Rhine tug.

15 September 1953
The R-boat R127 serves with the United States Labour Service Unit B (LSU-B) as the USN 141.

1956
The USN 141 is renamed to Deneb whilst serving with the German Federal Navy (Bundesmarine).

28 July 1961
The Deneb is removed from active service and used as the accommodation vessel WBRVII.

20 June 1968
The WBRVIIit is transferred to the naval fellowship at Frankfurt for use as an accommodation vessel.
