The Henschel
Hs 293F was a anti-ship missile Designed and developed by
Henschel
und Sohn in 1939 under the leadership of Dr.-Ing. Herbert
Alois Wagner.
The Henschel Hs 293F was intended to be deployed against
Allied shipping.
Continued development of the standard
Henschel
Hs 293 A-1 led to the development of the Henschel Hs 293F the main consideration
behind this version of missile was to conserve critical war materials, there were
some unique design features incorporated into Henschel Hs 293F one of which was
a delta wing configuration, much more unusual was the absence of a tail unit.
However, in every other respect it was similar to earlier variants. This missile
was not used operationally, and all further design work was abandoned in 1944
in favour of other projects.
