Heinkel Flugzeugwerke was German aircraft and engine manufacturer
founded in Warnemünde by and named after Ernst Heinkel, Hans
von Ohain designed the world's first operational jet engine
to power an aircraft. While working at Heinkel, the engine
first flew as the primary power of the Heinkel He 178 on 27
