Ju 87 dive-bomber. The British Admiralty announced that
the destroyer HMS Wren had been lost in action with Luftwaffe
aircraft, during which the HMS Montrose shot down two Luftwaffe
bombers.
The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers made day light raids
over Germany and the Low Countries. Barges were hit at Emden
and Hamburg, and aerodromes in Germany and Holland were attacked.
