Career

February 1942
The von der Lippe served as fleet tender (Begleitschiffe) for 10. Räumbootsflottille during World War II and served the following vessels. R175, R176, R177, R179, R180, R181, R182, R183, R184, R190, R213, R217, R218, R219, R221, R222, R224 and R234

15 June 1944
The fleet tender is von der Lippe sunk after being attacked by Allied aircraft at 2300 hrs at Boulogne along with the fleet tenders Brommy, von der Groeben and the minesweeper M402.
