History

The R175 R-boat (Räumboot) was built in the 1940s by Burmester shipyard located in Burg-Lesum, Germany as a minesweeper or escort vessel for the Kriegsmarine.

And which served in the 10. Räumbootsflottille and 17. Räumbootsflottille during World War II.

And after the capitulation of the Third Reich was employed in the German Mine Sweeping Administration (GMSA) which was controlled by the allies.

The R-boat R175 is commissioned.

1941
The R-boat R175 becomes operational with the 10. Räumbootsflottille.

1944
The R-boat R175 becomes operational with the 17. Räumbootsflottille.

1945
The R-boat R175 serves with the German Mine Sweeping Administration (GMSA).

19 November 1947
The R-boat R175 is seized as a prize of war by the Danish.

1947
The R-boat R175 is renamed MR175 however, this vessel was never recommissioned.

1948
The MR175 is broken up and scrapped.
