History:

The 2.8 cm s PzB 41 (2.8 cm Schwere Panzerbüchse 41) was an anti-tank gun designed by Mauser, based on the cone bore principal, which was first patented in 1903 by Karl Puff. Mauser also designed a variant to be mounted on vehicles. This was designated 2.8 cm KwK 42. However, it was never used. The original variant 2.8 cm s PzB 41 was mounted on Sd.Kfz. 250/11 Alte leichte Schützenpanzerwagen schwerer Panzerbüchse 41, Sd.Kfz. 221 (MG) Leichte Panzerspähwagen
