General Stilwell is assigned commander of Army Ground Forces.

Eighth Air Force. 2 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) fighters groups sweep over wide areas of South West Germany, claiming 2 fighters downed Northeast of Mannheim and East of Kirrlach.

Ninth Air Force. 170 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) medium bombers and light bombers hit command centres and railroad bridges, overpasses, and lines in West Germany with aim of harassing and obstructing troop movement. Fighters of the 3 Tactical Air Commands fly armed reconnaissance, alerts and night patrols, escort bombers, and attack numerous ground targets. XIX Tactical Air Command supports United States 5th Infantry Division in Echternach area.

Twelfth Air Force. During 24-25 January 1945 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) A-20 Havoc light bombers make several intruder attacks on roads, motor transport, bridges, and trains. Bad weather during the day greatly curtails flying. The only medium bombers mission dispatched achieves poor results on Cremona ammunition dump. Fighter-bombers and fighters of XXII Tactical Air Command hit command and dump areas, mainly in Milan area, with good general success.

Fifteenth Air Force. Weather curtails operations. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-38 Lightning fighters fly photo and weather reconnaissance. P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers escort the photo reconnaissance missions.

Tenth Air Force. 24 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-47 Thunderbolt fighters support ground forces in Namhkam area, near Molo, and near Myitson. 12 B-25 Mitchell medium bombers pound airfield at Heho. 80 fighter-bombers attack troops, supplies, and targets at Hsenwi, Loi-weng, Ho hpong, Loi Nan, Tingyet, Mong Tat, Ho-mong, Mong Long, Pangkwai, and in Kutkai area. Transports fly 581 sorties to forward areas.

Fourteenth Air Force. 21 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers hit rail targets and airfields in Peking area, claiming 4 locomotives and 40 aircraft destroyed. 16 P-40 fighters and P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers attack railroad targets around Kaifeng, Shihkiachwang, Pengpu, and Chingmen. 42 locomotives are claimed destroyed.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, operating in force, again pound Corregidor Island. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, A-20 Havoc light bombers, and fighter-bombers on sweeps, armed reconnaissance, and small-scale strikes hit vehicles, enemy positions, airfields, ammunition and supply dumps, barges, command, and targets in general, over wide areas of Luzon, Palawan, and in Central Philippine Islands. During 25-26 January 1945, B-24 Liberator heavy bombers fly harassing raid on Takao.

Seventh Air Force. 14 Saipan based United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Iwo Jima in the afternoon. During 25-26 January 1945, 10 more, flying individual harassment strikes at intervals, pound the island.

V-2 rocket launched against England, hit Enfield.

V-2 rocket launched against England, hit Willesden.

V-2 rocket launched against England, hit Langdon Hills.

V-2 rocket launched against England, hit Hatfield Heath.

V-2 rocket launched against England, hit near Clacton.

V-2 rocket launched against England, hit Greenwich.
