Fourteenth Air Force. 70 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers, P-61 Black Widow, night fighters, and P-47 Thunderbolt fighters continue to disrupt Japanese withdrawal from South and East China, attacking bridges, villages and town areas, barracks, troop concentrations, motor transport, shipping and rail traffic, and targets throughout wide areas.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). Supporting United States Sixth Army forces on Luzon, United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, A-20 Havoc light bombers, and fighter-bombers continue to attack targets in Cagayan Valley, Balete Pass area, Cervantes area, and other locations. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers blast troop concentrations in Balikpapan and South of Miri, Manggar airfield and Sepinggang defences B-25 Mitchell medium bombers support ground forces on Labuan Island. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers destroy a block of buildings and several warehouses and small vessels in Kiirun harbour area. P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers hit Taien and Toyohara airfields and targets while P-38 Lightning fighters start numerous fires in town of Kari.

Eleventh Air Force. 6 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers join Navy aircraft in attacking Kataoka and Tomari Cape. Cloud cover prevents observation of effects. 1 B-24 Liberator heavy bombers flies radar-ferret mission over the Kurils.
