Eighth Air Force. 68 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-26 Marauder medium bombers bomb Woensdrecht airfield. 352 heavy bombers strike industrial areas at Anklam and Marienburg, Kriegsmarine U-boat yards at Danzig, and port area at Gdynia. 28 heavy bombers are lost.

Twelfth Air Force. XII Bomber Command B-17 Flying Fortress heavy bombers bomb airfields at Larissa, Athens, Salonika, and Argos. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers hit Kastelli, Pediada airfields. P-38 Lightning fighters fly sweep between island of Corfu and Dubrovnik, and escort shipping in Karpathos Straits. XII A Support Command does not operate, but Northwest African Tactical Bomber Force (NATBF) and Desert Air Force (DAF) hit traffic in Terrnoli and Montenero area, guns North of Capua, Headquarters at Palata, and roads and railroads North of Naples.

Fourteenth Air Force. 4 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers on shipping sweep off Southeast China coast in Amoy Quemoy area sink a 150 ft tanker and damage a patrol vessel, and a freighter. 1 medium bombers crashes into a hill and explodes. 10 P-40 fighters bomb fuel storage and barracks at Mangshih. Island P-40 is downed by ground fire.

Fifth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) A-20 Havoc light bombers and Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) aeroplanes bomb and strafe defensive positions in Sattelberg and Finschhafen areas. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Makassar.

Thirteenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and P-40 fighters hit barges and concentrations on West Choiseul. P-39 fighters and Navy F4U Corsair fighter strafe buildings, radar station, and gun positions at Poporang Island.

Eleventh Air Force. 12 Kuril based enemy bombers attack Attu.
