bombers under heavy fighters escort carry out raids on airfields
at Merville, Abbeville, Poix, Saint-Omer and Triqueville.
Lille and Amiens are bombed by The British Royal Air Force
(RAF) bombers, also fighters escorted, in conjunction with

Northwest African Air Forces (NAAF). Northwest African Strategic
Air Force (NASAF) B-26 Marauder medium bombers bomb Adrano.
Northwest African Tactical Air Force (NATAF) fighters, light
bombers, and medium bombers hit Paterno, Santa Maria di Licondia,
and Centuripe, general area around Paterno, and vessels in
Milazzo Orlando area. United States ground forces in Sicily
prepare to attack East along coast, and further inland press
toward Troina. British, to the South, are fiercely opposed
West of Regalbuto.

fighters fly escort missions and hit shipping in Milazzo area.

Hill as Allied ground forces close in on Munda airfield. B-17
Flying Fortress heavy bombers, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers,
P-40 fighters, and Navy aircraft attack Vila airfield.
