The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers made very heavy night attack on Düsseldorf

In the Mediterranean. Very heavy air attacks on Sicily (especially Messina), Sardinia and Pantelleria. The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers made daylight raid on seaplane base at Preveza, Greece.

United States of America. United States Navy (USN) surface warships bombarded Chicagof area of Attu Island.

Northwest African Air Forces (NAAF). During 24-25 May 1943, Wellingtons bomb docks and marshalling yard at Olbia. Northwest African Strategic Air Force (NASAF) fighters, medium bombers, and heavy bombers bomb Portoscuso, Terranova, tunnel near Macomer, Porto Empedocle, Boccadifalco airfield, Licata harbour, Milo airfield, Messina, and Pantelleria. Northwest African Tactical Air Force (NATAF) P-40 fighters and B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit airfields, shipping, and military concentrations at Pantelleria.

Ninth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers attack Messina ferry docks and railroad yards.

Fifth Air Force. Single United States Army Air Force (USAAF) heavy bombers bomb coastal airfields and villages, hitting Madang, Kakakog, Simbang, and Cape Gloucester, and attacking barges off Gavuvu.

Eleventh Air Force. 12 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and 15 B-24 Liberator heavy bombers fly air-ground support and 4 B-24 Liberator heavy bombers and 20 P-38 Lightning fighters fly air cover all over Attu. 18 P-40 fighters fly 1 reconnaissance and 2 attack missions to Kiska and Little Kiska.
