Ninth Air Force. 200 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-26 Marauder medium bombers bomb airfields at Montdidier, Beauvais, Nivillers, arld Saint-Andre-de-L'Eure, France.

Twelfth Air Force. XII Bomber Command B-24 Liberator heavy bombers of 98th Bomber Group hit Wiener Neustadt. 376th Group fails to complete mission because of clouds. Medium bombers hit Tirana airfield, railroad bridge North of Orvieto, and viaduct at Terni. XII A Support Command, Northwest African Tactical Bomber Force (NATBF), and Desert Air Force (DAF) attack command and shipping targets, hitting vessels, vehicles, trains, roads, bridges, and town areas in and around Formia, Sora, Chieti, Minturno, Sessa Aurunca, Popoli, Terracina, between Ancona-Pedaso, Frosolone (just before it is taken by allied ground forces), and along Dalmatian coast.

Fourteenth Air Force. 14 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers and 13 P-40 fighters pound Co Bi barracks area. 8 B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Htawgaw while on ferry flight over the Hump.

Fifth Air Force. At least 45 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) bombers are destroyed on the ground at Vunakanau, Rapopo, and Tobera airstrips during attacks by 50 B-25 Mitchell medium bombers . The medium bombers and the more than 50 escorting P-38 Lightning fighters claim over 40 aeroplanes shot down. A-20 Havoc light bombers hit enemy positions in Lae area. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers carry out light attack on Manokwari.

Thirteenth Air Force. 36 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, along with 24 Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) P-40 fighters and 4 Navy F4U Corsair fighter, in 1 force, and 20 Army Air Force fighters and 70 Navy fighters and dive bombers in another force, pound Kahili airfield.
