Twelfth Air Force. Northwest African Tactical Bomber Force (NATBF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, escorted by P-38 Lightning fighters, bomb Sofia marshalling yard. XII A Support Command operations are curtailed by weather, and only battle area patrols are flown. Desert Air Force (DAF) fighter-bombers hit trains on East coast of Italy near Avezzano, along Dalmatian coast Southeast of Metkovic, and at Sarajevo. Fighters strafe Furbara and Tarquinia airfields.

Fifteenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-38 Lightning fighters escort Northwest African Tactical Air Force (NATAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers on raid against Sofia marshalling yard. The fighters claim 5 aeroplanes shot down.

Fifth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers attack supply and bivouac area West of Sio.

Thirteenth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-70 Havoc night fighters night fighters hit Shortland, Faisi area, claiming a seaplane and 2 barges destroyed.

Seventh Air Force. 9 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers from Nukufetau bomb Tarawa. 9 from Nanumea hit Mille.
