Norwegian steamer Toran reported sunk.
The British Royal Air Force (RAF) attacked aeroclrome at Guernsey,
setting it on fire. British bombers raided seaplane base at
Poulmic, near Brest. Other aircraft fired German oil tanks
at Flushing and damaged works at Ludwigshaven and Cologne.
In Somaliland Italian positions on Hargeisa-Jugargan road
were attacked. Italian fighters raided Berbera.
The British Royal Air Force (RAF) attacked shipping in Tobruk
harbour. Massawa was successfully bombed.
South African Air Force (SAAF) bombed Neghelli aerodrome,
Abyssinia, destroying two aircraft and damaging others.
Single Luftwaffe raider dropped bombs on Northeast coastal
town, causing damage and casualties before being shot down.
Balloon barrage defences and Southeast coastal town attacked
by German Luftwaffe fighters with machine guns. During the
night raiders dropped bombs over many areas in England. In
north-west they destroyed several houses and caused fatal
casualties.
Government agreed to cede part of the Dobruja to Bulgaria.
Exchange of populations to involve transfer of 100,000 Rumanians.
War Office announced that British troops stationed in Shanghai
and North China are being withdrawn for service elsewhere.
