Events On This Day

The British War office communiqué stated that there had been no further fighting in area north of Trondheim, where German forces appeared to be digging in, just north of Stenkjer.

In the South, increased German pressure necessitated withdrawal of Allied forces from positions previously held near Lillehammer.

French war communiqué stated that in the Skagerrak a French destroyer attacked and sank to German patrol ships.
