Coastal Command aircraft raided marine bases in northern and
western France. 4 Spitfire squadron routed twenty Italian
fighters in Straits of Dover, shooting down seven without
loss to itself.

Luftwaffe aircraft made three daylight raids over Southeast

The Rumanian dictator, General Antonescu, and Dr. Tuka, Slovak
Premier, signed protocols in Berlin by which their countries
join the Axis.
