Events On This Day

The British Prime Minister made a statement in the house of commons in reply to the Norwegian Foreign Minister's account of German auxiliary naval vessel Altmark exploit.

The Russian 164th division reported to be trapped by the Finns at Kitelae, Northeast of Lake Ladoga. On Karelian Isthmus Finns claimed to have repulsed attacks on east flank of their defences. Other violent attacks were in the region, northeast of Vuoksi River.Intense Russian air activity over southern Finland.

Ships attacked by Luftwaffe bombers of English east coast.

The Norwegian ship Hop was reported to be overdue and must be considered lost.
