Waves of German planes continued to land troops by parachute
in Holland and Belgium. Most said to have been killed or captured.
Dutch high command admitted that German forces had crossed
the Yssel near Arnhem.

All Dutch aerodromes seized by Germans recaptured except Waalhaven,
at Rotterdam, which was heavily bombed by the British Royal
Air Force (RAF).
British and French troops now fighting alongside Dutch. French
troops in contact with German forces west of the Moselle.
Heavy German attack in Maastricht district where German forces
captured a fortress, crossed Albert Canal, advanced to the
outskirts of Tongres, and later reached Waremme.
The British Royal Air Force (RAF) delivered a series of attacks
on German mechanised troops advancing from the Rhine towards
the Meue. Roads from Maastricht were also bombed.
Allied air forces attacked Rheinland aerodromes and railway
junctions.

British and French forces landed on Dutch West Indian islands
of Curacao and Aruba to safeguard important oil refineries.
The British Admiralty announced that fleet air arm had made
two further attacks on German forces at Bergen and obtained
hits on warships, believed to be the Bremse.
Mr Churchill, set up a War Cabinet of five members, and began
appointing new ministers.
Anti-Allied demonstrations in Rome and other Italian cities.
