The R12 R-boat (Räumboot) was built in the 1930s by Abeking & Rasmussen shipyard located in Lemwerder, Germany as a minesweeper or Escort vessel for the Reichsmarine which became later known as the Kriegsmarine

And which served in the 5. Räumbootsflottille during World War II.

Career

1934
The R-boat R12 is commissioned.

1939
The R-boat R12 becomes operational with the 5. Räumbootsflottille.

5 September 1944
The R-boat R12 is sunk by a mine in the Adriatic.
Position 45° 26' 5N 13° 25' 4E, 10 crew lost.
