Räumbootsflottille was formed in December 1939 and was initially commanded
by Hubert
Schlüter, this flotilla was made up of 8 Finkenwerder Fischkutter and
1937-43 Type R-boats and was deployed for minesweeping and security duties.
The 11. Räumbootsflottille was disbanded in October 1940. However, the
flotilla was reformed in September 1942 under the command of Felix
Freytag.
