History

The 20 mm MG FF/M (Maschinengewehr FF/M) was a machine gun designed and produced by Oerlikon in 1935. The 20 mm MG FF/M was also known as Schräge Musik, this oblique automatic upward firing weapon was operated by an infrared sensor and was developed in 1942, The 20 mm MG FF/M was mounted in night fighters of the Luftwaffe, which allowed them to approach and attack enemy aircraft from underneath, which gave the Luftwaffe pilots, a huge advantage, as most bombers would be unable to see a night fighter below them.
