The Sd.Kfz.
10 was a 1 ton halftrack prime mover used by the Wehrmacht during the course of
World War II, following Army directives of 1932
Demag
commenced work on a semi-halftrack artillery tractor capable of towing a 1 ton
load. The first vehicle in the series appeared early in 1934. Development continued
over the following years until 1937, when the production model was produced. This
vehicle remained in service throughout the war and was manufactured by
Adlerwerke,
Büssing-NAG,
MWC,
MNH,
MIAG,
Saurer-werke.

cm s.I.G.33, Sd. Anh 32. The Sd.Kfz. 10 was unique among German halftrack
designs, as it used a hull rather than a frame, the engine was a
Maybach
six cylinder water cooled petrol engine producing 90 hp both the tracks and wheels
were used for steering. The chassis formed the basis for the
Sd.Kfz.
