History:

The 30 cm Nebelwerfer 42 (30 cm Nb.Wf 42) was a six barreled multiple rocket launcher mounted on a two wheeled carriage converted from the launcher for the 28/32 cm Nebelwerfer 41 by changing the open metal launcher frame. And fired a 30 cm Wurfkörper 42 Spreng missile that was spin stabilised electrically fired. The crews of these weapons could only fire once because smoke trails marked the firing location, making it relatively easy for the enemy to shoot back. Counter-battery fire was thus a serious issue for rocket units
