Fourteenth Air Force. 80 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers and P-38 Lightning fighters over Indochina and South and East China continue to disrupt Japanese withdrawal, pounding numerous command and transport targets and general targets particularly in the Yangso, Kweilin, and Fenstun areas.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and fighter-bombers strike at remnants of Japanese army in the Laguna de Bay and Marikina areas. Fighter-bombers also hit areas of resistance near Kiangan, Penahlanca, and Mankayan. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, and P-38 Lightning fighters support Australian ground forces in area near Balikpapan. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Matsuyama and Taihoku airfields in force.

VII Fighter Command. 100 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) fighters dispatched from Iwo Jima to hit targets in Japan abort because of bad weather.
