bridge, and buildings around Hengyang, Hankow, and Yoyang,
attack bivouac area and Headquarters East of Changsha, bomb
troop concentration and buildings at Yangan. The fighter-bombers
pound Headquarters, buildings, fortified compound, barracks,
general targets around Tartin, and troop concentration near
Sichuan.
Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF)
B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb defences in Halikpapan area
and P-38 Lightning fighters support Australian forces as they
complete capture of Balikpapan and its oil installations.
B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit Bintula personnel area. Fighter-bombers
hit resistance pockets near Kiangan and supply areas in the
Cervantes sector. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers pound Toyohara
airfield.
