Fourteenth Air Force. 8 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and 4 P-61 Black Widow, night fighters bomb railroad yards at Sinyang and hit warehouse at Ichang. 100 P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers, P-38 Lightning fighters, and P-40 fighters attack numerous targets, including rail, road, and river traffic, airfields, coastal shipping, bridges, storage facilities, and railroad yards, at many locations over South and East China, especially in the Paoching area and, to a smaller degree, over Indochina.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers pound Jesselton while B-24 Liberator heavy bombers over other areas of Netherlands East Indies (NEI) bomb Amboina and Tolonoeoe Islands. Fighter aircraft support ground forces in Kiangan area. B-25 Mitchell medium bombers bomb Itu Aba Island. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers hit Miho and Saeki. Single heavy bombers on armed reconnaissance hit several targets including Tinghai airfield, Kure harbour, and Tanega Island.

Eleventh Air Force. 2 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers radar bomb Kurabu Cape airfield.
