Fourteenth Air Force. 8 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers and 6 P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers knock out 2 bridges near Quang Tri and My Chanh and blast surrounding antiaircraft positions. 8 fighter-bombers sink at least 3 river steamers in canal at Haiphong. 37 P-51 Mustang fighter-bombers hit rail, road, and river traffic, bridges, and general targets around Liuchow, Kweilin, Juchai, Hankow, Siangtan, Changsha. Hengshan, Sintsiang, Kweiyi, Kueiyangshih, and Fort Bayard. Bridge at Hankow is destroyed and several others damaged.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) A-20 Havoc light bombers and fighter-bombers blast resistance on Luzon and directly support guerilla offensive in Central Cayagan Valley. Heavy bombers again pound antiaircraft positions in Balikpapan area. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Shinchiku airfield.

Seventh Air Force. From Ie Shima 14 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) P-47 Thunderbolt fighters bomb and strafe vessels, buildings, lighthouse, and village on Amami Gunto airfield on Tokuno Island. 38 others bomb airfields at Omura and hit Tokuno Island on return trip.
