(USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers, supported by 2 P-51
Mustang fighter-bombers, seriously damages 3 bridges near
Singtai and Linmingkuan. 20 B-25 Mitchell medium bombers,
some with fighters escort, bomb bridges, barracks, troops,
horses, road and railroad targets, and general targets around
Sinyang, Yoyang, Changsha, Hsuchang, Chenghsien, Sichuan,
Pinyang, Tsinkong, Luchou, Kweiping, Tanchuk, Laohokow, Siangyang,
Nanying, Paoching, and Hengyang. 150 fighter-bombers over
South and East China attack a variety of targets chiefly road,
rail, and river traffic, troops, and bridges, at many scattered
locations. Liping and Tungkow areas are again well covered.
Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF)
B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Shinchiku. Other B-24 Liberator
heavy bombers and B-25 Mitchell medium bombers hit Miri and
Kudat airfields and support ground forces on Tarakan Island.
P-38 Lightning fighters pound troop concentrations and gun
positions on Mount Mandalagan.
Eleventh Air Force. 13 United States Army Air Force (USAAF)
B-24 Liberator heavy bombers bomb Kashiwabara Kataoka area,
claiming one ship destroyed, and a direct hit on another,
and investigate radar activities. Low fog limits observation
of other results. Antiaircraft fire damages 2 B-24 Liberator
heavy bombers, 1 of which force lands in USSR.
