Fourteenth Air Force. 4 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, with fighters escort, bomb railroad yards at Kuanshuishih. 29 fighters attack bridges, rail and road traffic, river craft, and targets in general around Fenglochen, Liuchow, Samshui, Luchai, Lipu, Leiyang, and Kweilin.

Far East Air Force (FEAF). United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-25 Mitchell medium bombers, A-20 Havoc light bombers and fighter-bombers hit Cagayan Valley targets and pound forces East of Manila in Ipo-Infanta areas and various targets North of Baguio. Ground support strikes are flown in Marikina River sector. B-24 Liberator heavy bombers support ground forces on Tarakan Island and bomb Kota Baru, Laoet Island, and Tawau. P-38 Lightning fighters hit Beaufort while B-25 Mitchell medium bombers support ground forces in Brunei Bay sector.

Twentieth Air Force. United States Army Air Force (USAAF) Combat crews of 509th Composite Group begin to arrive at North Field, Tinian, with their B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber's. 26 B-29 Superfortress heavy bomber's mine Shimonoseki Strait and Tsuruga Bay.

VII Fighter Command. Iwo Jima based United States Army Air Force (USAAF) fighters hit Tokorozawa. Pilots attacking the airfield claim 18 parked aeroplanes destroyed and over 30 damaged.

Eleventh Air Force. 8 United States Army Air Force (USAAF) B-24 Liberator heavy bombers on shipping sweep over the Kurils do not find targets because of overcast and instead radar bomb installations on Kurabu Cape and in Kataoka areas.
