The British Admiralty announced that within the last few weeks
seven German and two Italian U-boats had been destroyed and
others damaged.
The British Admiralty stated that the submarine HMS Osiris
had been sunk by an Italian destroyer in Adriatic on
22
September 1940
It was reported that aircraft of Fleet Air Arm had destroyed
two supply ships off Norway.
Weather conditions precluded any bombing operations by the
British Royal Air Force (RAF).
The war against Italy, The British Royal Air Force (RAF) made
successful attacks on railway and rail junctions in Abyssinia
and Eritrea. Extensive aerial reconnaissances over Libya and
Western Desert.
A number of Luftwaffe single engined aircraft scattered bombs
at random over southeast England. One demolished three houses
in Central London. South West suburb attacked., Houses in
North London destroyed. southeast coastal town attacked, historic
castle hit and many houses destroyed.
During night raids bombs were dropped in Central London and
in north-west district, but attacks were on restricted scale.
The Luftwaffe lost three aircraft, Britain one.
Adolf
Hitler and Mussolini and their Foreign Ministers met on
the Brenner Pass for a 3-hour conference.
