Events On This Day

The British Royal Air Force (RAF) bombers continued to harass Luftwaffe aerodromes, including Schiphol, Haamstede and Abbeville. Night attacks were made on oil tanks at Rotterdam and oil plants in the Ruhr and Rhineland. Naval base at Kiel also raided.

Three Italian bombers attacking a ship in Berbera harbour were intercepted and damaged by British fighters. The British Royal Air Force (RAF) made three successfulraids on Derna (Libya) harbour and aerodrome.

Luftwaffe aircraft dropped bombs on waste land in Southeast England.
