Spitfire fighter on patrol east of Suffolk coast, had a dual with a Luftwaffe Dornier Do 17 and drove it out to see in a damaged condition.

Luftwaffe planes driven off from Shetlands and Orkneys. No bombs dropped.

Further air successes in France during the weekend were reported. In one encounter the British Royal Air Force (RAF) fighter patrol attacked nine Messerschmitts Bf 109, one of which was shot down. In another, two Hurricane machines attacked a Dornier Do 17 at a height of 19,000 feet and drove it back disabled over the frontier.

Belgian fishing trawler fired on a German aeroplane.

It was reported from Tallinn that immediate evacuation of Baltiski, leased by Estonia to Russia as a naval base, has been demanded, nearly one month before arranged date
