Kriegsmarine warship attacked British convoy in North Atlantic.
One ship hit and slightly damaged. Escorting force pursued
Kriegsmarine raider and engaged it at long range. The HMS
Berwick sustained slight damage. During pursuit Kriegsmarine
steamer Baden was intercepted and set herself on fire.
The war against Italy, British reinforcements continued to
mass round Bardia. Enemy air attacks were ineffective.
The British Royal Air Force (RAF) Made numerous reconnaissance and patrol
flights, one being over Naples, where an Italian bomber was
shot down.
No raids made over Britain. Luftwaffe aircraft shot down in
Orkneys.
The Greek war, Greeks launched vigorous attack north of Pogradets
in direction of Lin. Greek pressure very strong in valley
of River Devoli. Italians organising defences on heights protecting;
port of Valona. Italian aircraft bombed town of Corfu.
