French government appointed Plenipotentiaries to receive Germany's terms. German high command claimed to have taken Cherbourg and to have reached Rennes and Le Mans. Later, they claimed that Strasbourg had been occupied and Lunéville and fortress of Toul captured.

Over 100 Luftwaffe bombers crossed British coasts late at night. One was dropped on North East coast, Lincs, South of England, and South Wales. At least three bombers shot down and others damaged.

The British Royal Air Force (RAF) attack German aerodromes near Amiens and Rouen Other bomber formations raided the Ruhr and West Germany.
