Finland, Norway, and Sweden are to discuss formation of a
defensive alliance.
Fighting continued on nearly all Finnish fronts, up till 11
a.m., when hostilities ceased.
Statements on Russian-Finnish piece aims were made in both
houses of parliament by Lord Halifax, and that Mr Chamberlain.
H Guenther, Swedish Foreign Minister, defended its policy
of neutrality in the Riksdag.
The German coal ship Eschersheim was sank off the Danish Jutland
coast, either mined or scuttled.
Mr Sumner Welles left London en route for Rome.
