Raids and ambushes were reported from various parts of the Western front, and fairly sharp engagements towards the south eastern border of the Forest of Warndt, where a German attack on a French outpost was driven back.

Joachim von Ribbentrop delivered a bitter speech, in which he accused the British government of systematically preparing over a period of years to make war on Germany.

The Greek steamer Konstantinos Hadjipateras was sunk by German U-boat in the North sea.

Poland's gold reserves and amounting to more than £15,000,000 reached Paris after an eventful journey from Warsaw.

Leaders of the Finnish delegation left Moscow to consult with their governments on new proposals put forward by Joseph Stalin.

Polish Consul General in London, announced that the Polish in Britain would be mobilised service in the Polish army in France.
