The Bombing of Jaén was an aerial attack on the city
of Jaén on 1 April 1937, during the Spanish Civil War,
by the Condor Legion of National Socialist Germany, who fought
for the rebels. The bombing of was ordered by the General
Queipo de Llano, as retaliation for a republican air raid
on the city of Córdoba.

On 26 April 1937, Bombing of Guernica in Spain by the Condor
Legion of the National Socialists German Luftwaffe in support
of the Francoists. Three quarters of the town is destroyed
and hundreds killed.
