History

The German Mine Sweeping Formation Cuxhaven (Minenräumverband Cuxhaven (MRVC) was formed on 1 January 1948 this formation was in operational use until 1951. As well as replacing the German Mine Sweeping Administration (GMSA) this new organisation used all of the assets that were at the disposal of German Mine Sweeping Administration (GMSA).

The German Mine Sweeping Formation Cuxhaven (MRVC) was made up of the following units

The operational area of the German Mine Sweeping Formation was the North sea and the Baltic sea.
