17 April 1941
The Zmai is captured by the Germans.

1941
The Zmai is renamed Drache and commissioned 1941
The Drache is used by the Luftwaffe as an aircraft salvage ship.

25 November 1941
The Drache is converted to a minelayer.

1942 The Drache is damaged by fire after being attacked by aircraft.

22 September 1944
The minelayer Drache is sunk after an internal explosion.
Position 37� 45N 26� 59E, 11 crew lost.
