The Escort F9 is commissioned.

1937
The Escort F9 served as a flagship in the Escort Flotilla.

14 December 1939
The Escort F9 was hit by a torpedo fired from the British submarine HMS Ursula. The Escort F9 was sunk in the vicinity of Helgoland approximately 120 crew lost.
