Edinburgh along with Herman Schoemann and Z25 whilst she was under tow to Kola
Fjord. During this action the destroyer Herman Schoemann was sunk. Position 73°
30N 35° 10E.
25 August 1944 The destroyer Z24 is sunk
by the British RAF. Position 45° 31N 01° 06W.

The destroyer Z24 is raised and broken up, and scrapped.
